FantasyLite

How FantasyLite Scoring Works

FantasyLite scores whole NFL teams, not individual players. You draft four teams, one from each of four tiers, and your score each week is simply the points those four teams put on the scoreboard in their real games. Beat the Phantom that week and you get 10 bonus points on top. Add up all 18 weeks and the highest total wins the league. That is the entire rulebook.

The four tiers

Before the season, all 32 NFL teams are ranked by their Vegas preseason win totals and split into four tiers of eight. Every player drafts exactly one team from each tier, so nobody ends up with four contenders and nobody is stuck with four rebuilding teams. Here are the 2026 tiers:

TierTeams
1Ravens, Rams, Bills, Lions, Chiefs, Eagles, Seahawks, 49ers
2Patriots, Bears, Bengals, Cowboys, Broncos, Packers, Texans, Chargers
3Jaguars, Vikings, Steelers, Buccaneers, Colts, Saints, Giants, Commanders
4Panthers, Falcons, Browns, Titans, Raiders, Jets, Cardinals, Dolphins

Your weekly score

Each week the app adds up the real points your four teams scored in their games. Touchdowns, field goals, safeties, it does not matter how the points got there; the number on the scoreboard is the number you get. Winning or losing the game does not matter either. A team that loses 31 to 28 gives you 28 points. There are no lineups to set, so there is nothing to forget on Sunday morning.

The Phantom bonus

The Phantom is the app's built-in opponent. It takes one slot in your league and gets four leftover teams, one per tier, that no human drafted. Every week, if your four teams outscore the Phantom's four teams, you earn 10 bonus points. Tie the Phantom and you get nothing extra; you have to beat it outright. The Phantom itself never gets a bonus, so it is a benchmark everyone chases, not a player that can run away with the league.

A worked example: Week 1, 2026

Say you drafted the Lions, Packers, Steelers, and Falcons, one from each tier. These are the real Week 1 matchups. The point totals shown are illustrative until Week 1 wraps up Monday night, then they will be the final scores.

Bye weeks

When one of your teams is on a bye, you score from the three that play. There is no replacement and no average. Every team in the league gets exactly one bye, so over 18 weeks it evens out for everyone, including the Phantom.

Season standings and tiebreakers

There are no head-to-head matchups and no playoffs. Your season total is the sum of your 18 weekly scores, bonuses included, and the highest total wins. If two players finish tied, the first tiebreaker is the highest single-week score. If that is also tied, it goes to whoever had more weeks of 100 points or better. If players match on all of those, they share the title as co-champions. There is no coin flip.

What you never have to do

No lineups, no waivers, no trades, no injury reports, no start-or-sit decisions. You draft once, then you watch football. If that sounds like the version of fantasy you actually wanted, read about team-based fantasy football or see how a league without waivers stays fun all season.

All the fun, none of the homework.
